UNICEF offers 20,000 school bags to Daraa schools

Daraa, SANA The Directorate of education in Daraa distributed 20,000 school bags and school necessaries to the students in Daraa city, Izraa and al-Sanamin offered by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).

Director of the directorate Hussein Damarah told SANA that the distribution includes the first four classes of the basic education, asserting that this initiative came in the framework of encouraging the students to join schools through ensuring their requirements to enable the students to continue their educational attainment.

This batch is out of 70,000 school bags which the UNICEF is planning to offer to the province.

UNICEF has offered at the beginning of the new academic year 34 parcels which includes teaching kits for the schools of Daraa city, Izraa and al-Sanamin, while in the last year, the Organization offered 18,4 thousand school bags with school supplies to the province.
