Hasaka, SANA – Relief sub-committee in the northeastern Hasaka province distributed last week 19,000 food packages provided by the World Food Program (WFP) to families affected by terrorism.
Issam al-Hussein, Director of the Social Affairs Department in Hasaka, said in a statement to SANA that the aid was distributed to displaced families and people affected by terrorism in al-Malekiyeh city and its countryside, Maabda town and the makeshift centers in Qamishli city.
50 boxes containing dry yeast were also sent to the eastern Deir Ezzor province for bakeries, Hussein added.
59,000 food packages provided by WFP were distributed to needy families in Hasaka during last month.
