Medical aid distributed to displaced residents of al-Yarmouk Camp in nearby towns

Damascus, SANA – With the support of the Syrian government, the General Authority for Palestinian Arab Refugees (GAPAR) distributed on Tuesday medicines and chlorine water purification tablets to displaced residents of al-Yarmouk Camp.

Those are now temporarily staying in the nearby towns of Yalda, Babila and Beit Sahm in Damascus Countryside, after they fled hundreds of terrorists of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) who entered the neighborhood, aided by Jabhat al-Nusra, in early April.

Ali Mustafa, the GAPAR Director General, said in a statement to SANA that the medical aid included antibiotics, saline solution and 200,000 chlorine water purification tablets.

A medical team provided patients with treatment and medicines, Mustafa added, stressing that delivering food, medical and other relief supplies to displaced people staying at the makeshift center of Zainab al-Hilaliyeh School and in al-Tadamun area will continue.
