Damascus, SANA – The Tourism Ministry rehabilitated 23 tourist facilities in Damascus in May 2015 at a cost estimated at around SYP 358 million.
The facilities included 5 restaurants, 5 tea houses, 11 fast-food restaurants, and two cafes.
Director of the Tourism Directorate in Damascus Mai al-Seleh asserted that such a step will help revitalize the economic situation and provide job opportunities for skilled workers.
She added that the Tourism Directorate is working to provide all possible facilitations for investors and to help the owners of tourist facilities develop their properties and improve the standard of the services they offer.
