Moscow, SANA- A photo exhibition opened in Moscow marking the 69th anniversary of the Independence Day, organized by “RusAR”, a Syrian Charity Fund in Moscow, in cooperation with the Syrian embassy in Russia.
Officials, diplomats, political analysts and a crowd of Russians and Syrian community members in Russia and Arab expats had attended the exhibition.
The participants pointed out that the photos showcased Syria’s history and cultural heritage.
In speeches made by the exhibition’s visitors, they affirmed that Syria is witnessing a terrorist war orchestrated by foreign countries aided by regional and gulf countries due to its stances towards resistance and commitment to Arab rights.
The Syrian Ambassador in Moscow Riyad Haddad said that the Independence Day this year came as Syria is being exposed to a universal war led by “the powers of conspiracy, treachery and aggression” to weaken it.
He added that the Syrian army will win the battle against internationally-orchestrated terrorism thanks to the Syrians’ unity and support for the army and the leadership of President Bashar al-Assad.
Haddad said that the photo exhibition had delivered an important message to the Russian peoples about the truth of unfolding events in Syria.
For his part, Sergei Baburin, chairman of the Russian Committee of Solidarity with the Syrian people, said in an interview with SANA reporter that the exhibition was successful because it “provided an opportunity for those who want to remember how the dawn of culture and civilization emerged in Syria”.
The exhibition showcased photos taken by the terrorists themselves documenting their criminal acts against innocent peoples in Syria, Baburin added.
