Football Association (FIFA) latest standings.
The team also ranked at 15th position on the level of Asia at the new FIFA standings.
According to FIFA March Standings, the team was ranked in 152nd position globally and 26 on Asia level.
The new position of the team at the world standings is an intitial step towards the world Cup finals scheduled in Russia in 2018, Member of Syrian Arab Federation for Football Fadi al-Dabbas said.
Meanwhile, Syrian football team defeated lately Jordanian counterpart 1-0 and Tajikistan 3-2.
