Syrian-Jordanian Free Zone Company 1st quarter revenues up 780%

Amman, SANA- The revenues of the Syrian-Jordanian Free Zone Company saw a remarkable increase of 780% during the first quarter of the year compared to the same period last year.

The Jordan News Agency “Petra” reported that 80 new investment contracts were signed by the Free Zone Monday.

During a meeting held by the company’s board, discussions were conducted on ways to enhance and stimulate the investment environment within the Free Zone. They also focused on developing its infrastructure and technology to improve readiness for attracting more high-quality investments.

The board also reviewed and approved the final budget for 2024, with recommendations prepared for its formal adoption.

In an effort to facilitate the movement of investors, the board discussed the current operating mechanism and proposed measures to regulate the daily number of vehicles and transport carriers allowed to enter the Free Zone.
