Syrian-Turkish talks to upgrade cooperation and economic development

Damascus, SANA- Mohammad Nidal Al-Shaar, Minister of Economy and Industry discussed Wednesday, with Turkish Minister of Trade Omer Bolat and his accompanying delegation ways to enhance trade relations and economic development between the two countries.

Minister al-Shaar stressed during the meeting the quest to build a new and free Syria, to be among the developed countries in the region and the world, highlighting the importance of this visit as a beginning of fruitful cooperation aimed at creating a partnership between the two countries and overcoming all obstacles that impede it.

For his part, the Turkish Minister of Trade clarified that contacts and meetings will be held over two days, focusing on the development of bilateral trade between the two countries, the establishment of partnerships and the establishment of free zones.

Minister Bolat stated that there would be customs cooperation between the two countries, as well as consultation for the conclusion of the economic agreement of the comprehensive partnership between the two countries, emphasizing the desire to develop the transport sector in Syria and the establishment of industrial cities.
