Syria strongly condemns Israeli aggression on Hezbollah’s Secretary-General, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah

Damascus, SANA- Syria condemned in the strongest terms the criminal Israeli aggression and held the occupation entity fully responsible for its grave consequences.

“Today, the brotherly Lebanon has lost Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, as a result of a brutal and cowardly Israeli aggression that targeted with tons of destructive bombs a residential area in the southern suburb of Beirut, which led to his martyrdom along with a large number of innocent civilians,” Foreign and Expatriates Ministry said in a statement on Saturday.

The Zionist entity confirms through this despicable aggression once again the traits of treachery, cowardice and terrorism on which it was raised, the absence of any moral values, and its barbarism and disregard for all international standards and laws, the statement read.

“With the martyrdom of the Secretary General of Hezbollah, all those who fought to liberate the land and preserve sovereignty and independence have lost a role model for them in the struggle against the aggressors and in the resistance against the occupation,” the statement added.

Syria strongly condemns this brutal Israeli act of aggression and offers condolences to brotherly Lebanon and all free people of the world for the martyrdom of the leader of the Lebanese National Resistance, the statement said.

Nasrallah’s heroic path will continue to be a guide for future generations to continue their struggle to liberate all occupied Arab lands and to ensure that Israel is held accountable for its shameful acts,” the statement concluded.
