Prime minister meets Armenian orthodox bishop of diocese of Aleppo

Damascus, SANA -Prime minister, Hussein Arnous, met on Monday the Armenian orthodox bishop of diocese of Aleppo and its surroundings, Magar Ashkarian, and an accompanying delegation.

The two sides affirmed the importance of the comprehensive national identity of all the spectrums of the Syrian society which constitutes a rich source of the national identity with its firm Arab, Islamic and Christian dimensions.

Arnous stressed the importance of the humanitarian initiatives adopted by the religious, civil and community activities as they reflect  the most beautiful images of coexistence and social solidarity that contributes to enhancing unity among members of society.

Bishop Ashkarian, for his part, expressed confidence in the Syrian ability to overcome all the challenges and achieve victory by the unity of the  Syrian people and their leadership.

They thanked the Syrian government for the facilities and support which are provided to the service, humanitarian and medical programs carried out by the diocese.
