Honoring the winners of the 21st session of al-Basel Exhibition for Creativity and Invention

Damascus, SANA- Awarding the winners of the 21st session of al-Basel Exhibition for Creativity and Invention began on Thursday at the Faculty of Civil Engineering at Damascus University.

The ceremony was organized by the Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in cooperation with a number of ministries and supporting bodies.

Some 72 projects participated in the exhibition, three of them were from brotherly Iraq.

Minister of Internal Trade, Mohsen Abdul Karim Ali, stressed in a speech at the ceremony that the Ministry sought, by all means and capabilities, to support innovators and inventors and take care of them.

The exhibition reflects the requirements of the modern era and the challenges of securing materials in context of finding solutions to the shortage of resources, and developing industry, technology, and services, the minister pointed out.

During the ceremony, a documentary film about al-Basel Exhibition was presented, as well as two art and
folklore shows were performed.
