High Voltage film participates in Alexandria Short-Film Festival

Damascus, SANA High Voltage short-film for director al-Mohannad Kulthoum participates in the competitions of Alexandria first Short-Film Festival to be organized between April 8th and 12th .

About 34 short and 11 documentary films from Syria, Lebanon, Bahrain, Kuwait, Sudan and Egypt will compete in the event.

The festival’s jury will include film critic Magdy Altayeb, actor Khaled Abol Naga, and film director Tahany Rashed.

High Voltage

High Voltage’s script was written by Samer Mohammed Ismail, and produced by the National Film Organization. The film recently won the Award of Honor in the Taharqa International Festival in
Sudan.

The film is about a love story between a young lighting technician working for TV production companies and a young woman coming from the countryside to study the art of theater in Damascus.

Director Kulthoum said that he has no redlines in dealing with a script; what is important to him is for the script to have a message, unity, and coherence.
