Damascus, SANA- Over the 24 past hours, five tremors were reported by the National Earthquake Center(NEC).
The NEC said in a statement that stations of Seismological Monitoring Network recorded a quake in Turkey with a 2.9 magnitude in addition to two other tremors in Liwa Iskenderun with a 2.2 magnitude.
The center also recorded two quakes with a 1.9 magnitude, one of which occurred 37 km, north of Lattakia and the other one occurred 25 km south of Tartous.
