Emirates Red Crescent launches more initiatives to continue providing aid in Lattakia

Lattakia, SANA- The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) delegation to Lattakia province has launched new series of initiatives aimed at continuing providing aid to support different sectors there.

That came during a press conference held at Lattakia Governorate’s building of the head of ERC delegation, Dr. Mohammed Al Kaabi on Thursday.

Al Kaabi underlined that external humanitarian aid is an essential and moral commitment of the United Arab Emirates, noting that the Operation Gallant Knight 2 in Syria indicates the UAE’s rapid response and standing by the brotherly Syrians.

One such the initiatives, according to Al Kaabi , is “My School is my identity” which aims to support the educational sector by restoring and maintaining 40 schools in the province, and Education Knights initiative to provide laptops and computers to support the digital transformation in addition to Eid al-Adha clothing initiative targeting 44,000 beneficiaries and animal sacrifices initiatives, during which 2000 sacrifices will be delivered to the beneficiaries in Lattakia , Aleppo , Homs and Hama provinces.

Al Kaabi pointed out that providing the UAE’s aid will continue until Syria is recovered and returned better than before.

The head of Lattakia Governorate Council, Tayseer Habib, for his part, thanked Emirates Red Crescent delegation that contributed to supporting Syria since the beginning of earthquake in all different sectors of the province.

At the end of press conference, Habib honored Al Kaabi, for his exerted efforts, while the Emirati delegation honored a number of those who cooperated with it in the accomplishment of its tasks.
