Syria renews condemnation of Israeli settlers’ attacks on al-Aqsa Mosque

Damascus, SANA- Syria has reiterated its condemnation of the Israeli settlers’ repeated attacks on al-Aqsa Mosque, denouncing the international silence on the crimes of the occupation and the continued Western protection for it.

“Syria condemns the repeated attacks by Israeli settlers against al-Aqsa Mosque and Palestinian worshippers under the protection of the occupation forces, and affirms that these attacks represent a violation of the historical and legal status quo in al-Aqsa.” SANA quoted Foreign and Expatriates Ministry as saying in a statement on Wednesday.

The Ministry added: “Syria denounces the international silence and the continued Western protection of this entity and its crimes, and affirms that these continued attacks against the Palestinian people represent a flagrant violation of international law and human rights.”

The statement stressed that the international community must assume its moral responsibilities and exert pressure on the Zionist entity to stop these practices and attacks which show its racist and terrorist nature.
