Aleppo, SANA- The Governor of Aleppo, Hussein Diab, discussed with the Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus in Damascus, Yuri Sloka, ways to strengthen joint cooperation relations between Aleppo and the Belarusian cities, in light of the challenges facing the two countries, with the humanitarian reality and the procedures of the province been reviewed in context of the earthquake.
The governor stressed the deep rooted relations binding the two friendly countries and peoples, and the importance of coordination and cooperation in many political and economic fields.
Diab valued the positions of the Belarusian government during the unjust terrorist war against Syria and its stand today with the Syrian people to support them in this ordeal.
He thanked the initiative of Belarus related on opening the field hospital in Aleppo to provide medical services to the earthquake- affected people.
The Belarusian ambassador offered condolences over the earthquake victims, pointing out to the strategic relations of cooperation between the two countries, which are based on achieving common interests
Sloka noted the importance of strengthening economic relations between a number of Belarusian and Syrian cities, especially Aleppo, and the need to coordinate with businessmen, industrialists and government agencies, along with exchanging visits and experiences.
The Belarusian ambassador inspected the field hospital that was set up in the Ismailia neighborhood of Aleppo.
