Damascus, SANA- The Syrian Trust for Development works, in cooperation with a group of volunteers, to launch initiatives to provide classrooms and learning seminars for students within the response of the aftermath of the earthquake disaster.
The Trust pointed out on its Facebook page that the earthquake had caused significant damage to a number of schools and educational institutions which pose a threat on education follow-up for hundreds of Students in Lattakia, Aleppo and Hama governorates as those provinces are the most affected by quake.
The disruption of studies, the loss of pupils and students to their homes, books and their personal papers have negatively affected the students’ educational attainment, the Trust stressed, adding that turning a number of schools into temporary shelters have long-term implications.
The Trust asserted that it works with partners to mitigate this through providing the basic requirements for study and provide psychological support to students in a way that gives them the possibility to continue their studies.
