Geneva, SANA-The New Permanent Representative of the Syrian Arab Republic to the United Nations Office at Geneva, the Ambassador, Haydar Ali Ahmad affirmed Syria’s keenness to cooperate with the office on the basis of impartiality, objectivity and objectivity, away from any politicization.
The Ambassador’s remarks came after presenting his credentials to Tatiana Valovaya, the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva.
Ahmad underlined Syria’s commitment as a founding state of the UN to the goals and purposes of the Charter, international law and international humanitarian law.
“Syria is ready to cooperate with the UN on the basis of impartiality and objectivity, far from any politicization,” he added.
In turn, Valovaya said she has a professional interest in the situation in Syria, and in continuing to work with Syria’s permanent representative in Geneva to find sustainable solutions that serve the interests of the Syrian people.
