Syria, Pakistan discuss means to develop bilateral relations in transport field

Damascus, SANA- The Minister of Transport, Zuhair Khuzaym, discussed Wednesday with Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Damascus, Shahid Akhtar, ways of enhancing bilateral relations in the domain of transportation and the necessity of developing them.

During the meeting, Khuzaym presented the repercussions of the unilateral coercive measures on the Syrian people, the destruction and sabotage to which the transport sector in Syria was subjected by terrorists, in addition to discussing means to overcome that.

Both sides discussed the horizons of joint cooperation, particularly in the field of air transport and the importance of linking transportation to expand and increase the movement of trade and economic exchange between the two countries.

For his part, Ambassador Akhtar affirmed his country’s stance in support of Syria, pointing to the need to supporting and boosting relations between transport institutions, activate and increase the number of flights in the seasons that require that, and the importance of activating commercial and economic movement to serve the aspirations of the two friendly peoples.
