Protesters besiege French Embassy in Ouagadougou

Ouagadougou, SANA-Hundreds of Burkina Faso citizens demonstrated for the second day in front of the French embassy in Ouagadougou to demand an end to French interference in their country.

The protesters set fire near the French embassy in Ouagadougou and threw stones inside the building, on which French soldiers were stationed.

They removed the barbed wire in an attempt to climb the wall surrounding the building, while the soldiers responded from inside the embassy by firing tear gas to disperse the protesters.

The protesters chanted slogans against France and its colonial policies and raised Russian flags.
