Iran calls on Russia and Ukraine to hold dialogue, end war

Tehran, SANA- Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian has renewed his country’s call upon Russia and Ukraine to hold dialogue and to end the ongoing war between them.

Iranian news agency (IRNA) quoted Amir Abdollahian as saying, in a telephone call with Finnish Foreign Minister Pekka Haavisto today, that “Iran calls on Moscow and Kyiv to hold dialogue and end the war.”

Abdollahian added that the path to a solution depends on the diplomatic option and dialogue.

He reiterated his country’s seriousness in reaching a “good, strong and lasting” nuclear agreement in the Vienna talks.

Abdollahian said that his country supports the continuation of the ceasefire in Yemen, lifting the siege on it and resolving the Yemeni crisis within the framework of the Yemeni-Yemeni dialogue.

In turn, the Finnish Foreign Minister expressed hope to reach an appropriate agreement in the Vienna talks.

He highlighted the importance of strengthening relations between the two countries in various fields.
