Three institutions for children with disabilities reopen in Homs

Homs, SANA- the Social Affairs Directorate in Homs resumed providing care for children with disabilities in three of its institutions specializing in providing care for children suffering from disabilities which were closed for three years due to the current crisis.

The directorate’s manager Wasim al-Saghir clarified that 35 girls and boys who are between 7-16 years of age were received at the institutions which provide care for children suffering from hearing impairment, cerebral palsy, and intellectual disability.

He affirmed that institutions are staffed by expert instructors specialized in dealing with disabled children, and that the necessary books and programs were provided by the Education Ministry.
