Hungary affirms rejection to impose further sanctions against Russia

Budapest, SANA- Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto has affirmed that his country will not vote in favor of imposing further sanctions against Russia.

The Hungarian minister said in a statement posted on the ministry’s website that the Ukrainian ambassador in Budapest, Lyubov Nebob, had been summoned to the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to inform him of the rejection of the insulting statements of the Ukrainian authorities against the Hungarian leadership.

Szijjarto considered that it is time for the Ukrainian leaders to stop insulting Hungary and recognize the will of the Hungarian people.

He stressed that the security of Hungary and the Hungarian people has always been the government’s top priority, and therefore we will not provide Ukraine with weapons and will not vote in favor of sanctions against Russia.
