Moscow, SANA – Co-Chairman of the Russian Committee for Solidarity with the Syrian people Oleg Fomin said Thursday that Russia hopes that Moscow’s preliminary consultative meeting will pave the way for intra-Syrian dialogue to solve the crisis in Syria.
In a statement to SANA correspondent in Moscow, Fomin added that Russia is based on the fact that patriotic Syrians from all parties perceive that dialogue is the only way for solving the crisis in Syria and that agreement is inevitable for the future of Syria and its people.
He hoped that Moscow’s meeting will help making a progress regarding solving the crisis in Syria peacefully.
Addressing the delegations to Moscow consultative meeting on Wednesday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stressed that Russia cares for finding a solution to the crisis in Syria and it will continue to provide all sorts of aid to the Syrians to help realize the unity of their people and to strengthen steadfastness of the Syrian state in confronting terrorism and building a new future.
