Russia receives about 385 thousand refugees from Donbass

Moscow, SANA-The Russian Emergencies Ministry announced the arrival of about 385,000 refugees from the republics of Donetsk and Luhansk to Russia since the beginning of the Russian special military operation to protect the population in Donbass.

“384.6 thousand refugees crossed the border of the Russian state, including 80.7 children from the Donetsk and Luhansk republics,” RT website quoted the ministry as saying in a statement on Wednesday.

The Ministry added that the number of refugees was 365.7 thousand people yesterday.

Since the beginning of the Russian special military operation last February, a large-scale evacuation of the civilian population has begun from the republics of Donbass region, after the escalation and repeated bombing of this region by the Ukrainian forces.
