Europe Council has become a tool to implement NATO propaganda, Zakharova says

Moscow, SANA-The Council of Europe has become a tool for the North Atlantic Treaty Organization’s propaganda (NATO) to implement its media and political campaigns, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Wednesday.

“For a long time, this organization has just become a tool for the NATO propaganda… The institutions of NATO and its member states, and through the mechanisms of the alliance, have largely shaped the agenda within the Council of Europe, where nothing remains of equal and effective work in the Council,” Zakharova said in an interview with Radio Sputnik.

Zakharova stressed that Russia has nothing to do at the Council of Europe as long as this organization still exists in its current form
