Damascus, SANA- Cold weather conditions will continue to prevail in Syria, according to the Meteorological Department.
The temperatures will drop to become from 4 to 7 below average as the country is affected by a low pressure accompanied by a very cold and wet polar air mass, according to the Department’s Wednesday bulletin.
The skies will be cloudy to rainy in general, and snow will fall in the regions with altitude above 1000.
The wind will be southwesterly to westerly with a moderate speed and active gusts that exceeds 60km/h, while the sea waves will be medium to high in amplitude.
In some major Syrian cities, the expected temperatures will be as follows: Damascus 7/-1, Daraa 7/0, Homs 7/-2, Hasaka 4/-3, Tartous 10/5, Aleppo 4/-2, Deir Ezzor 11/0
