414 new coronavirus infections, 17 deaths recorded in Syria

Damascus, SANA- 414 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Syria and 100 patients recovered, while 17 others passed away, according to the Health Ministry.

“The total number of infections registered in the country has reached up to 39,902 of which 25,195 have recovered, while the death toll has reached up to 2,446” the Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.

On March 22^nd last year, the first coronavirus case was detected in a person who came from abroad, meanwhile the first fatality was reported on the 29^th of the same month.
