Damascus, SANA- 293 new coronavirus infections, 66 recoveries and 8 deaths were reported in Syria, according to the Health Ministry.
The total number of the recorded coronavirus cases in Syria have reached up to 36,453 of which 24,365 have recovered, while 2,322 have passed away, the Ministry said in a statement on Friday.
The first coronavirus case was detected in Syria on March 22nd last year in a person who came from abroad, while the first fatality from the virus was registered on the 29th of the same month.
