Endowments Minister offers condolence over demise of Sheikh Eid Bari 

Damascus, SANA- Commissioned by President Bashar al-Assad , Endowments Minister,  Mohammad Abdul-Sattar al-Sayyed, offered condolences over the demise of Mufti of Damascus, Bashir Eid al-Bari  at  al- Othman  mosque in Damascus.

Al-Sayyed hailed the good deeds of the late Mufti, saying that his death is a loss for the scholars of  Syria and the Islamic world.

He added that Sheikh Eid al-Bari was faithful to his religion and Homeland.

The Ministry of Endowments and Bilad al-Sham Scholars’ Union announced death of Sheikh al-Bari on Thursday at 86 years old.
