New York, SANA- Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Faysal Mikdad, discussed with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela, Felix Plasencia Gonzalez, means of enhancing bilateral relations between Syria and Venezuela.
During the meeting which comes on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly debates, the two ministers also discussed ways to support the steadfastness of the peoples in the two countries in the face of the economic blockade and attempts of external interference in their domestic affairs.
Minister Mikdad also met Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev and discussed means of opening horizons for bilateral cooperation in light of the historic relations and ties that bind the two friendly countries.
Talks during the meeting dealt with coordination to combat terrorism and extremism in light of the flow of foreign terrorists into Syria during the last decade.
Later, Minister Mikdad met Foreign Minister of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Makei with both sides stressing the importance of the distinguished relations between the two friendly countries and the need to develop them in various fields in the interest of the two peoples.
Viewpoints were identical on the importance of rejecting any attempt of external interference in their domestic affairs and the necessity of coordinating stances at various international forums to defend the interests of the two countries.
They condemned the unilateral coercive measures targeting the Syrian and Belarusian peoples.
