Damascus, SANA- 80 thousand persons till now have received Corona vaccine within the national campaign launched by the Health Ministry on September 5th that will last till 16th of the same month with more than 400 accredited medical centers and mobile teams in all over the Syrian provinces.
After touring a number of accredited vaccination centers in Damascus and Damascus Countryside ,Health Minister, Hassan al-Ghabbash, said in a statement to SANA that the campaign witnesses large turnout and aims at raising the community awareness regarding the importance of getting the vaccination especially that the attendance was shy at the beginning, referring that the ministry will evaluate the campaign and study the possibility of its continuity.
Director of Health Centre of Abu Dhar al-Ghafari ,Hazer al-Miqdad, said that any person aged 18 years and more can get vaccinated except for the pregnant and nursing women and those who have previous allergic reactions in addition to the persons with serious diseases ,pointing out to the importance of the vaccination as it prevents the severe complications of the virus and reduces the number of those who are admitted to hospitals.
