More than 1,5 million of the Basic Education and Secondary school students start final exams on Sunday  

Damascus, SANA- More than 1,5 million pupils of the Basic Education from 5th to 8th grades and the 1st  and 2nd  grades Secondary  stage students on Sunday started to take their final exams for the academic year 2020-2021 in all the Syrian provinces amid tight precautionary measures to address the outbreak of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19).

In a statement to SANA, the Ministry of Education said that 1,582,453 male and female students of the Basic Education from 5th grade to 8th grade and 240,261 thousand of Secondary Education (high school) students and 58,766 thousand vocational students started to take their final exams at / 10550 / exam centers in all Syrian provinces among them 8496 exam center for Basic Education, 1575 exam centers for secondary Education and 479 exam centers for vocational education.

The Ministry on April 3, announced the end of school year of kindergarten and the classes from first to fourth of basic education stage , and suspension of school attendance of the classes from fifth to eight of basic education as of April 5th , 2021.

The Ministry also suspended classes for the Basic Education stage from the 5th grade to the 8th grade, starting from April 5 and set the date of the exams from 25 to 29 of the current month for these grades and for the first and second secondary grades with all its branches.
