Arrival of first flight of a foreign airline to Aleppo International Airport from Erbil

Aleppo, SANA- The first flight of a foreign airline arrived on Wednesday in Aleppo International Airport coming from Erbil, north of Iraq, after more than an eight-year hiatus after it was affected by damage due to terrorism, Transport Ministry announced.

In a statement to SANA, Director of Civil Aviation in Syria Bassem Mansour said that the Aviation has approved that Fly Baghdad Airlines to run a weekly round flight on Erbil-Aleppo line, noting that it will contribute to activating the tourist and commercial movement.

Mansour pointed out that the Fly Baghdad Airlines is the first private foreign airlines arrives in Aleppo Airport after it was opened.

In a similar statement, Director of Aleppo International Airport Mohammad Masri said that a weekly round flight for passengers from and to Erbil Airport, north of Iraq, will be organized, indicating that all necessary coronavirus preventive procedures have been taken within the airport to protect the passengers

First Syrian flight coming from Beirut International Airport carrying a number of passengers on board landed in Aleppo International Airport at the mid of January, then the Airport resumed its movement after months of hiatus due to the coronavirus epidemic.
