Baghdad, SANA- Two suicide blasts at bustling commercial markets in central Baghdad on Thursday killed at least 28 people, and injured 73 others.
In a statement, Major General Kadhem Bohan, Head of Iraq’s Civil Defense Unit, told reporters that the number of people killed in the terrorist attacks has amounted to 28 so far, while 73 others were injured.
Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces, Major General Yahya Rasoul said in a statement “Two suicide bombers blew themselves up when the security forces pursued them in Bab al-Sharqi district of Baghdad this morning, which led to a number of martyrs and injuries among civilians.”
