Mustafa: Terrorists preventing locals in Yarmouk Camp from receiving aid

Damascus, SANA – General Authority for Palestine Arab Refugees (GAPAR) Director Ali Mustafa called upon the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) to expose the crimes committed by terrorists against the people of Yarmouk Camp, as the terrorists are preventing them from receiving relief aid.

In a letter to UNRWA Secretary-General Appoints Pierre Krähenbühl, Mustafa said that the Agency must force terrorists to leave Palestinian camps in Syria, underlining the efforts exerted by the Syrian government to deliver food and health aid and water to the people of Yarmouk Camp and provide them with medical services by an UNRWA team, in addition to providing vaccines and educational services including facilitating the movement of students from and into the camp to take exams.

He said that the terrorists besieging the remaining locals in the camp prevent them from reaching aid delivery points by firing mortars and sniping the sites, saying that such incidents took place on December 11th, 12th and 13th, leading to suspending the distribution process, with the terrorists’ main goal being to starve the locals and prevent them from receiving treatment so that malicious media outlets can start crying crocodile tears on the conditions of Palestinian refugees and politicize the issue.

Mustafa stressed the need to force terrorists to leave Yarmouk Camp in Damascus and Handarat Camp in Aleppo and lift the siege they impose on other camps.
