Temperatures below average, rainfalls expected

Damascus, SANA- There will be a significant drop in temperatures to become lower than their averages in most regions as the country is affected by low air pressure in the upper layers of the atmosphere accompanied by a cold and humid air mass.

Meteorology Department expected in its Friday bulletin that the weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy and rainy at intervals over most regions, the precipitation is heavy and accompanied by thunder and hail over coastal areas, warning from the formation of torrents in the slopes and valleys in those areas, with snowfall expected on the high mountainous heights.

The wind will be easterly to southeasterly with a moderate speed in the northern and al-Jazeera regions, and it will be southwestern between low and moderate in other areas, while the sea waves will be low in height.

The expected temperatures in some major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 17/9, Daraa 19/9, Homs 17/9, Lattakia 23/15, Aleppo 15/8 and Deir Ezzor 24/11.
