Amman, SANA-Jordanian Foreign Minister, Ayman Safadi, and Russian President’s Special Envoy for Syria, Alexander Lavrentiev, affirmed the need for a political solution to the crisis in Syria in a way that guarantees its territorial integrity and unity.
During a meeting with Lavrentiev in Amman on Tuesday, Safadi stressed “the importance of reaching a solution that guarantees the unity and territorial integrity of Syria, its security, stability and the evacuation of all foreign forces from it in addition to the elimination of terrorism” as well as providing conditions for the return of the displaced to their homeland.
Safadi stressed the importance of cooperation and coordination with Russia to activate efforts to resolve the crisis in the country, reaffirming the importance of creating appropriate conditions for the return of the displaced Syrians.
