Temperatures to drop, skies partly cloudy

Damascus, SANA-Temperatures will slightly drop, yet they will remain above average as the country is affected by a superficial low air pressure accompanied by western air currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere.

Meteorology Department expected in its Wednesday bulletin that the weather will be moderate to relatively hot at day while the skies will be clear to partly cloudy in general with a little opportunity for showers over the coastal mountains.

Meanwhile, the weather will be cold at night, especially over the mountains, warning against fog at night and in the early morning in al Qalamoun, inland region and the mountains.

The wind will be westerly to southwesterly with a moderate speed sometimes, while the sea waves will be low in height.

The expected temperatures in some major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 31/16, Daraa 33/16, Homs 28/17, Lattakia 29/21, Aleppo 32/16 and Deir Ezzor 35/18.
