Damascus, SANA- Temperatures tend to drop over the coastal regions to become around average, yet they will remain from 4 to 7 degrees above average in most areas as the country is affected by a superficial low pressure accompanied by southwestern air currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere.
Meteorology Department expected in its Friday bulletin that the weather will be hot and the skies will be clear to partly cloudy in general with a weak opportunity for showers particularly in the southwestern regions and Qalamoun heights, while the weather will be misty in the eastern and al-Badia “semi-desert” regions.
The wind will be southeasterly with a low to moderate speed and the sea waves will be low in height.
The expected temperatures in some major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 38/23, Daraa 35/22, Homs 39/22, Lattakia 29/24, Aleppo 39/22 and Deir Ezzor 44/26.
