Turkish occupation’s mercenaries excavate for artifacts in Afrin

Aleppo, SANA – The Turkish occupation’s mercenaries started new excavating operations in search of archaeological artifacts under the direct supervision of Turkish intelligence in the occupied Afrin area north of Aleppo.

Local sources told SANA reporter that the terrorists of “Ahrar al-Sharqia” which are backed by the Turkish occupation started excavation and digging operations, looking for archaeological artifacts in the east of Koura village in Afrin area.

The sources added that the mercenaries cut down fruit trees in the area to facilitate the systematic excavations, and are using equipment provided to them by the Turkish occupation forces, noting that the excavations are supervised and directed by the Turkish intelligence which controls the terrorists in the area, with the intention of selling the artifacts to Turkish antiquities dealers.
