Damascus, SANA- More than 300 thousand students of the Basic Education (9th grade) and Sharia preparatory school certificates on Monday started to take their final exams for the year 2020 in all the Syrian provinces amid tight precautionary measures to address the outbreak of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19).
The exams of basic education students will last till July 18th, while the exams of the Sharia preparatory school students will last till the 14th of the same month.
The Ministry of Education has taken all health and precautionary measures which are necessary to ensure the success of the exam process at / 2501 / exam centers in which / 301145 / students from the basic education will take their exams, and at / 60 / exam centers for the exams of / 4499 / students from Sharia preparatory school.
On Sunday, Secondary Education (high school) students started to take their final exams for the year 2020 for the scientific, literary, Sharia, and vocational branches of the high school certificate (Baccalaureate certificate) amid tight precautionary measures for addressing the outbreak of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19).
On April 28th, the Ministry issued a decision setting June 21st as the date for beginning the secondary education certificate final exams for one exam course and June 22nd for basic education certificate final exams.
