Saturday weather: Temperatures to drop notably, showers expected

Damascus, SANA-Temperatures will notably drop to become around average in most areas as the country is affected by a superficial low air pressure accompanied by southwestern air currents which will be followed by a relatively cold low air pressure in the upper layers of the atmosphere.

Meteorology Department expected in its Saturday bulletin that the skies will be partly cloudy to cloudy sometimes, and showers will fall, particularly over the northwestern, central and coastal regions and they will be accompanied by thunderstorms sometimes while the weather will be cold in general over the mountains.

The wind will be southwesterly with active gusts sometimes whose speed exceeds 70 km/h in the central, southern and al-Badia “semi-desert” regions and it will be accompanied with dusty conditions while the sea waves will be medium in height.

The expected temperatures in some major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 28/14, Daraa 27/13, Homs 25/11, Lattakia 24/17, Aleppo 29/16 and Deir Ezzor 33/17.
