Damascus, SANA- Temperatures will continue to drop to become from 6 to 9 degrees below average as the country is affected by a low air pressure in all layers of the atmosphere accompanied by a very cold polar air mass.
Meteorology Department expected in its Sunday bulletin that the skies will be partly cloudy in general and shower mixed with snow sometimes will fall while in the evening at night rainfalls and snow will fall over different areas and the weather will be very cold, warning against frost and ice in most areas.
The wind will be westerly with a low to moderate speed and the sea waves will be low to medium in height.
Different amounts of rainfalls have been registered in several Syrian provinces over the past 24 hours as follows: Damascus Countryside 36mm, Sweida 25mm, Homs 31mm, Hama 12mm, Tartous 8mm, Lattakia 1mm, Idleb 14mm and Hasaka 16mm.
The expected temperatures in some major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 6/-2, Daraa 8/-1, Homs 6/-2, Lattakia 2/11, Aleppo 6/-4 and Deir Ezzor 8/-3.
