Army repels fierce attack by al-Nusra terrorists in Idleb southeastern countryside

Idleb, SANA- Syrian Arab Army units have repelled a fierce attack launched by terrorist organizations in the direction of Halban town in Idleb southeastern countryside, inflicting heavy losses on them in the personnel and equipment.

SANA’s reporter said that Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists and the groups affiliated to it launched a fierce attack in the direction of Halban town in Sinjar in the countryside of Ma’aret al-Nu’aman in Idleb southeastern countryside after firing a barrage of rocket shells towards military posts in the area, particularly those in Tal Khatra which has been recently liberated from terrorism by the army.

The reporter added that army units tracked the movements of the attacking terrorist groups and confronted them with suitable weapons, in addition to foiling an infiltration attempt by some terrorist groups after engaging in clashes with them and inflicting heavy losses among their ranks.

Army units continue their operations against terrorist organizations in Idleb southeastern countryside, and last month they have been able to liberate more than 320 square meters, and they expelled Jabhat al-Nusra and other terrorist organizations from them, and they entered more than 40 towns and villages in the southern and southeastern countryside of Idleb province.
