Largest Christmas tree in Syria illuminated in Bassir in Daraa

Daraa, SANA – The St. George Greek Catholic congregation in the town of Bassir in Daraa countryside illuminated on Saturday evening the largest Christmas tree in Syria.

The tree, which is set up in St. George Church, is 27 meters tall, its base is 11 meters wide, and is illuminated by one million lights.

The ceremony was accompanied by music from the church’s brass band and Christmas hymns by members of the congregation and al-Farah Choir.
