Damascus, SANA- A delegation of Russian businessmen , who is visiting Syria currently, discussed in two separate meetings on Thursday with the Board of Directors of Damascus Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Directors of Damascus and its Countryside Chamber of Industry ways to boost economic and trade cooperation.
Head of the Russian delegation Igor Matveev said that the delegation seeks to establish partnerships with the Syrian side and boost the joint trade work.
“We are very optimistic about this visit and we are working to invest all the available opportunities to bolster the relations between the two countries,” he said.
For his part, Head of Damascus Chamber of Commerce Ghassan al-Qalaa called for establishing a commercial banking company to pay the value of exchanged goods between the two countries and find a permanent way for cargo through sea rather than land.
In turn, Heads of Damascus and its Countryside Chamber of Industry Samer al-Debs pointed out to the importance of establishing strategic industrial companies between the Syrian and the Russian businessmen.
