Tehran, SANA-Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif discussed on Tuesday with the UN special envoy for Syria Geir Pedersen the latest developments in Syria.

Talks during the meeting dealt with a number of topics, particularly war on terrorism and the return of refugees to their home.

Pedersen last month affirmed the need for a political solution to the crisis in Syria based on UN resolution No.2254.
