Grospic: Unilateral economic measures on Syria represent an economic terrorism

Prague, SANA- Head of the Czech Parliamentary Committee for Friendship with Syria Stanislav Grospic stressed that the unilateral coercive economic measures imposed by the West on Syria represent an economic terrorism that affects civilians and increases their suffering in obtaining their basic daily needs.

In a statement to SANA’s correspondent in Prague on Monday, Grospic said “The US which bears the main responsibility for the war waged against Syria is punishing this country because it is fighting terrorism.”

He noted that whenever the final victory over terrorism in Syria becomes closer, the US and Western pressures on the country increase.

Grospic criticized the EU policies towards Syria, indicating that these policies haven’t understood till now that the Syrian legitimate Government and the Syrian army and people and their allies are fighting terrorism and they prevent terrorists from reaching Europe.

He warned that continuing these policies means threatening the safety of citizens in Europe.
