A solidarity pause in front of Venezuelan Embassy in Damascus in support of the legitimate government

Damascus, SANA – Several nationalistic Syrian and Palestinian parties, organizations and figures on Thursday staged a solidarity pause in front of the Venezuelan Embassy in Damascus, expressing solidarity with the Venezuelan government and people, condemning the US blatant interference with domestic affairs of the Latin state.

The participants stressed their standing by the side of the Venezuelan people, who have always supported the just Arab causes, expressing rejection of the overt interference by the US administration on Venezuela’s internal affairs, which falls under the title of conspiracy.

The Venezuelan Ambassador in Damascus Jose Gregorio Biomorgi Muzzatiz said in a speech during today’s event that the USA uses different tools to achieve its policies in interfering in the domestic affairs of other countries, where it has depended in Venezuela on what it calls “opposition” to make riots that are contrary to the Constitution as a tool to destabilize the situation there.

He pointed out that this “opposition” uses some flashy names and phrases such as “democracy and freedom” and seeks to the non-recognition of the President, who was elected by the same people, to promote for an unknown person to be a tool at the hands of imperialism.

For her part, Zainab Nubouh from Syrian Women Association stressed the need for stopping the US intervention in the affairs of other nations, including the Arab peoples, especially Syria.

In turn, secretary for the Syrian National Youth Party, Damascus branch, Tayseer Shamdeen expressed solidarity with Venezuela’s government and people in facing all forms of US intervention and imperialist politics.

Secretary of the Palestinian Revolution Factions Alliance Khaled Abdul-Majid condemned the US intervention in Venezuela through spreading chaos, and provoking the extreme right to destabilize the situation in the country.
